AHMEDABAD 2011- City girl among top ten in national CA examination
City girl Nisha Khanchandani made it to the top ten ranker's list in the country in the All India Chartered Accountancy (CA) results announced here on Tuesday.

Nisha stood ninth in the country. This year, five students from the Ahmedabad centre have made it to the top 50 rankers in the CA final exams in India.

Ahmedabad posted a result of 23.19 percent in the CA final exams of the new course held in May 2011. The all-India result is 28.67 per cent.

President of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (Ahmedabad), Devang Doctor said that the Ahmedabad centre had posted 36.30 per cent result in the entry level Common Proficiency Test. The all-India result is 33.31 per cent. Two students from Ahmedabad have ranked in the top ten in this test securing sixth and eighth position.

Nisha's success shone bright as she became the first member in her family to crack the prestigious exam. No member in her family has completed graduation and her family was jubilant when their daughter who has done BCom and LLB scored a national rank in the CA final exams.

Nisha said that it was dream come true to rank amongst the top ten in the final CA exams. She said that she used to go to dance classes along with preparing for the final CA exams to help her beat stress and prepare better for the exams.

"Many students get disheartened by the difficult course and give up midway without putting in their cent per cent. Dedication is a must. CA exams are difficult but not impossible to crack", said Nisha.

Nisha is now looking forward to working in her own CA firm along with her fiancé and father-in-law, both of whom are CAs.

Ruchita Shah, 21, has scored 19th rank in the country in the CA results declared on Tuesday. Ruchita, who scored 87 per cent in HSC exams, wants to specialize in law and thus will not join any CA firm currently.

Ruchita said that her brother was also preparing for the CA inter exams and she got a lot of moral support while preparing for the exams. She comes from a family of CAs with a number of uncles and grandparents also in this profession. Ruchita loves Bharat Natyam and used to practice dance along with preparing for the exams.

Rahul Malaviya, a student of HL College of Commerce who appeared from Udaipur centre as his parents belong to the lake city has secured eighth rank in the All-India exams. Rahul is 19-years old and wants to specialize in Mergers and Acquisitions.
