Exam results Patna: HC seeks reply from CBSE

A single bench of the Patna High Court presided by Justice A K Tripathi on Tuesday directed the Central School of Secondary Education (CBSE) to file its reply by July 12 in a case related to irregularities in the recently published results of CBSE Class XII examination.

The court passed the order on a PIL filed by students of a private school at Sitamarhi demanding re-evaluation of their answer sheets.

Vigilance DSP summoned: A single bench presided by Justice Anjana Prakash directed vigilance DSP to appear before the court on July 7. The court passed the order on a PIL filed by one Radhe Prakash Chaurasia seeking court's intervention in dereliction of duty committed by the vigilance department in carrying out investigation with regard to fake reports issued by the state Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

The court also directed the state government and the vigilance department to file affidavit in the court with regard to investigation of fake reports submitted by FSL in relation to probe into matter related to narcotic substance.

Notice issued to DM: A bench presided by Justice V N Sinha issued notice to the Gopalganj DM in a contempt matter related to non-compliance of court's earlier order in a case related to irregularities detected in appointment of Grade IV employees at Goplaganj collectorate and other offices related to it.

The court in its directive to the DM asked why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him and punishment meted out for violation of the court's order. The court has fixed the next date of hearing in this connection on August 9.
