GSHSEB Exam XI Oct Time Table 2011 - Std XI science exam begins from Oct 13
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board ( GSHSEB) has announced the schedule of the first semester exams of class XI (science) - the exams will begin on October 13.The semester system has been introduced for the first time in class XI. The board will conduct four semester exams through classes XI and XII, the results of which will be taken into account to determine the final HSC result. Each exam will be given equal weightage of 25 per cent.
Board officials said that the forms for the semester exams will be available to school authorities from the district education offices all over the state between 11 am and 4 pm on July 25. These forms will have to be filled and submitted to the board office.
Students will be required to come to the exam centre 30 minutes before the exams are due to begin. All exams will be conducted from 11 am to 1.30 pm.
The board has already dispatched to schools sample question papers of the semester-system exams for class XI (science). The 100 mark exam will last for two and a half hours.
Board officials said that the first and the third semester exam will be of the objective type, marked by the optical mark reader, while the second and fourth will be descriptive in nature.
