SBI -PO EXAM 2011- Hundreds of Jaipur students debarred from taking SBI PO examination
Jaipur: On Sunday, many candidates were not allowed to take the State Bank of India's probationary officers (PO) examination. They were disallowed because they did not have the challan form with them. The candidates create scenes at many examination centres of Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar and Bhankrota. The candidates debarred from taking the examination said that the State Bank of India (SBI) did not inform them to carry the challan form to the examination centre and that not allowing someone from taking the examination just because he/ she forgot to bring the challan form was injustice.

The SBI PO examination was held on Sunday at 9 am. When the candidates entered the examination centres, the officials asked them for their fee receipt (challan form), which many candidates did not have. As a result, the candidates were sent outside the examination centres. Candidates -- Siddharth Sharma, Amarjeet Solanki and Bhuvnesh Sharma -- said that they had the bank's call letter, identity proof and biodata with them, but they were still thrown out of the examination centre. They added that the examination organisers needed to think that had they not paid the fees, they would not have received call letters.

The SBI officials are saying that they have not violated any rule or regulation. They said that the candidates were informed in advance as to what documents they needed to carry with them; thus, if they forgot to bring the documents with them, the bank could not do about it.
